7 & 8 Month Update - Benjamin!
A quick update on Benjamin's 7 and 8 month happenings!!!
A little about you:
Weight: As of early December your weigh 21 pounds! You love to eat and are a very good eater!
Health: The last month you had a little cold and a little stomach bug but other than that very healthy.
Diet: We have continued expanding your diet the last few months… you are a super good eater and LOVE everything! New foods you love include Cheerios, avocado (we cut it up in small pieces for you to pick up and feed yourself and you LOVE it), chicken, turkey, spinach, potatoes, sweet potato fries, mangos and cantaloupe! Next month we are going to expand into fresh fruits! YUM!
Clothes: 6-12 months for the most part but 12-18 in tops and PJ's. Growing boy!
Baby Gear: You love all things toys! Other than traditional baby gear you have found "other" house hold items to be some of your favorite toys as well… some of those items include momma's hair brush, the scale in our bathroom, the door stops behind all doors, solo plastic cups, wooden spoons and your most favorite… TV remotes!
Crying: Your new thing these days is the little fit you through when you have to get in your car seat! It is an epic battle every time! Not sure what it is because once you are buckled in you are find and happy as can be… it is just the process that you must not like! You are one funny guy. And when you want to see one of your little fits just ask because we have it on video!
Loves: All things Daddy! You absolutely adore your daddy and it is precious to see. He makes you laugh harder than anything or anyone! The special bond you two have is one of my favorite to see and watch!
Postpartum: Momma has officially retired! After much prayer and consideration we decided that it was time for me to take some time to be home with you.We know God has big plans and we trust him and what he has for us!
Milestones: There have been so many milestones these last two months… I hope I remember them all. You finally got your first teeth! The bottom, middle, two teeth broke through within a day of each other! You went from rocking on all fours, scooting, army crawling, crawling, pulling up, bear crawling, and now cruising within a few short weeks. You are super strong and pull up on anything and anyone! You are also a wonderful babbler/talker and awesome at feeding yourself Cheerios and other small finger food. You also graduated to the next car seat and we lowered your crib because you learned to pull yourself up! You also enjoyed your first Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!
The last two months have been super busy for us and we are loving every minute! You learn and grow every day and we are more and more amazed by you and the blessings you bring! We love you so very much and look forward to many more fun adventure!

Sleep: Wonderful! You wake up between 7:30 and 8am, go down for a morning nap around 9:30-10:00 then take an afternoon nap around 1:30 and go to bed for the night around 7:30-8pm. You sleep on your belly and love to curl up in a little ball and snuggle with your blankets and the bumper in your crib!
Social: You are a little shy at first when around new people but once you get comfortable you are a social butterfly! You love to smile and grin at people and are quite the little chatter box! You like to make sure everyone knows you are in the room and are heard! You do this new thing with your arm.. raise it up and babble… like you are making a big announcement! Happy 6 Months Benjamin!
Better late than never right...
Benjamin,
You are six months old! Happy half birthday sweet boy! You are growing and learning so many new things everyday we are just love being apart of every second! You are talking more than ever and LOVE to blow raspberries and bubbles! Grandpa Ingram taught you that a while back and you think it is so funny!
A little about you:
You are 19 pounds 2.5 oz at your 6 month check up! The dr. said you are one big and healthy baby boy! You are in the 75% for both height and weight. We started feeding you baby food a few weeks ago and you have LOVED everything! I'm not sure why we are so surprised... you have always been a great eater and that hasn't changed since we introduced food. We started with Rice Cereal and then added peas and carrots. Next will be green beans and squash and Oatmeal! YUMM! You have also dropped a bottle and only take 4 bottles a day and ~20-22 oz total. We also moved you to 6-12 month clothes a few weeks ago and I love dressing you in your new fall clothes! You are still in size 3 diapers, but will be moving up to 4's soon.
As for sleep you were doing excellent till we went to South Padre Island and completely missed up your schedule and routine. It took 2 weeks to get you back to sleeping through the night and one hard night of letting you cry it out. But now we are back on a good schedule and routine! So thankful! Your schedule goes something like this.. Wake up around 7-7:15, bottle, change and out the door to Aunt Frannies, and momma goes to work. You play till 9:45-10ish an take an hour-1.5 hour nap then wake up and have lunch around 11:15.. you have cereal and a veggie then your bottle... more playtime till you afternoon nap then another bottle around 3:30pm then play till momma comes to pick up up, then sometimes you take a little power nap in the car on the drive home, then we play, have dinner at 6:30ish, bath, then last bottle at 7-7:15 then off to bed!
When it comes to playtime you really love to bang and pound on everything! You pick up your toys and transfer from hand to hand and EVERYTHING goes in your mouth! We have said it before, but teething has been your middle name for what seems months now. Hopefully these teeth will come in soon! As for favorite toys... you love anything that makes noise/plays a song! And have a special love for your new fisher price puppy toy. You also still love your blankets and love to snuggle them!
Milestones this month include starting solids, consistently rolling over from back to tummy, scooting on the bed (you push your butt up in the air then reach out your arms! Like an inch worm!), transferring toys/items from hand to hand and you are officially a tummy sleeper!
Happy 6 Months baby boy!! We love you so much, Momma and Daddy!
