New Furniture!

Our dining room furniture finally arrived today! We are so excited and can't wait to have a dinner party to enjoy our new table and chairs!

It is amazing how you plan and plan for furniture and when it finally arrives it is just everything you planned and imagined. It really has transformed our house and we are so pleased with our purchase.

Here are a few photos of the before and after!

Lately...

We have been quite busy...

First, we want to congratulate the newlyweds - Nick and Tami Foladare! They got married on March 12th in Ft. Worth. It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony and a great reception! We danced the night away. Nick and Jay are high school friends and we have an absolute blast every time we see them.

Congrats Nick and Tami... we wish you all the best and look forward to many more memories together!

The following week I traveled to Chicago for a work conference and enjoyed the GREEN river... they turn the river green for St. Patrick's Day. It was quite cold, but I had a great time at the conference and had a blast exploring the city.

Then last weekend Jay and I finally decided to take one another "home improvement project." Our kitchen cabinets didn't have any knobs or pulls on them so we added them! It has made a HUGE difference and we are thrilled with the results.

If you want to give your kitchen a quick face lift... go to HomeDepot or Lowe's and purchase some inexpensive pulls and or knobs and install them in your kitchen. This project cost us less than $100... a great investment to our kitchen and in our opinion make the kitchen look like a million bucks... well maybe not a million bucks, but you get the point!

Jennifer's Perfect Shower!

This weekend we celebrated Jennifer and Dan's upcoming wedding with her "BerryHill" shower here in The Woodlands! It was perfect and just so lovely. We are so excited and happy for her and Dan and are counting down the days! April 9th can't get here soon enough for them!

We love you Bride to Be!

Our 1st Married Valentines Day!

Jay and I spent our first married Valentines Day at the house with a semi-homemade meal... take out pizza and a home made salad counts as semi-homemade right?

Anyways, Jay told me on Saturday, before V-Day, that all he wanted was Domino's Pizza for dinner... so as a good wife I made that happen... but with a twist.

I thought what better meal use our fine china and fun wedding gifts than our 1st Valentines Day married! So I set the table, picked up the pizza and dinner was ready! See... you can always add a fun twist to pizza night!

The table all ready and set to go!

Yum! Bon Appetit!!

Making a house our home!

The past two months we have been settling into married life and organizing our house with all of our STUFF... cleaning out closets, cabinets, dressers, bookshelves, etc... and through our reorganization of the house I came across a few things I thought we could do to make the house more homey! So this weekend I finally made time to get them done!

1. Make and hang curtains in the Master Bathroom
2. Hang wall art in Master bathroom
3. Hang photo wall in living room
4. Hang outdoor clock for backyard patio
5. Hang wedding photo in formal living room

Check, check, check, check and check! We knocked them all out Sunday afternoon and each project majorly improved the "homeyness" for our house! Here are some photos of the finished products!

I bought this fabric from HobbyLobby on clearance and it matched perfectly with our bedroom and colors in the bathroom! So I got out the staple gun and went to work!
