What we've been up to!

As a new stay at home mommy (SAHM) we have filled out days with lunch dates, playdates, errands, afternoon walks to the park, cooking new dinner meals, celebrating the new Casey & Morgan Cole at their beautiful wedding and lots of playtime at home!  We also survived my hubby's first week long work trip abroad!  Again… filled our days with lots of things that kept us out of trouble!  Here are some of my favorite photos from our first few weeks of 2014!

Happy 9 Months Benjamin!

Benjamin,

You are nine months old!  I can't believe how much you have changed in the last month.  You learn new things and tricks ever day and become less and less baby and making the transition to toddler.  This past months has also been even more special for me because it is my first month staying home with you full time!  It has been such a blessing and joy to share the little moments with you each and every day!  Look forward to many more sweet boy! 

A little about you:

You are 21 pounds 7.5 oz at your 9 month check up today!  The dr. said you are one big and healthy baby boy!  You are in the 90% for height  at 30 inches and 70% for weight.  You love to eat and eat a LOT!  It is hard to say what your favorite are because you like everything... but if I had to say I think you like green beans and sweet potatoes the most!  You also love pears and mangos!  You still take 4 bottles a day along with breakfast, typically fruit and yogurt, lunch, oatmeal and a veggie, and then dinner, oatmeal/veggie/protein.  We have also moved you up to 12-18 month clothes... can't believe how fast you grow!  But still in size 4 diapers.  

As for sleeping... what can I say... you LOVE your sleep!  You are down to 2 naps a day... typically 1.5 hours each, and sleeping 11-12 hours at night.  Since I'm home full time now our normal schedule looks a little something like this... wake up around 7:45-8ish, bottle/cuddle in mommas bed (my favorite), playtime, breakfast 9ish, playtime/errands, bottle then morning nap 10:30, lunch at noon, playtime/errands, afternoon nap 2:30, afternoon bottle 4, playtime till dinner at 6, bath, books, bottle then bed at 8!

When it comes to playtime you have really started figuring things/toys out!  You love to push your walker toys around the house, stand up to your activity table and activity cube, crawl around and inside your car, play with your farm animals and tractor, read your books, and chew on EVERYTHING!  You also love your sing a long dog and lay on him every chance you get.  It is the sweetest thing... we think you are just giving him some love!  You have also started showing little bits of your big personality through fit throwing... they mostly come out when we take something away from you that you shouldn't have, put you in your car seat (although you are getting much better at this one), and when it is time for a diaper change or to get dressed.  

Milestones this last month... walking with your walker, clapping, cruising all over the house (walking while holding on to something), working on waving hello and goodbye, and you understand "no" and "no sir" and respond when we call you name!

You are the sweetest boy ever and it is pure joy watching your grow everyday!  Happy 9 Months baby boy!!  We love you so much, Momma and Daddy!
