Baby Benjamin: 20 Weeks!

Weight: We weighed him on our scale the other day and he weighed 17.5 pounds!

Health: Benjamin is over the little virus he had last week and is one happy little boy!
Sleep: Baby boy has been doing excellent in this department this last week... back to sleeping through the night... and sleeping between 11 and 12 hours... goes down before 8pm and wakes up a little after 7am.
Social: Benjamin has been super talkative this week!  He is just babbling away and has so much to say!  We also had a little play date with baby Ellie!  Love this photo of the two of them!!
Ben held her hand!!!
Diet: Momma's Milk!  And has been a hungry boy lately... the other day he took 10 oz before he went to bed!
Clothes: Mostly 3-6 months but some 6-9 and size 3 diapers.
Baby Gear Loves:  Bumbo Seat!  This little seat has been a great tool to help Ben learn how to sit up! And he thinks he is such a big boy when he sits in it!!!
Crying:  Ben has been a little fussy in the early evenings... I think he gets a little overtired and needs to

LOVES: Ben loves to talk!
Postpartum:  I am officially back to work 100% and it has been another adjustment to say the least.  I love my job and enjoy the people I get to work with, but it is hard being away from my sweet boy.
Milestones:  Ben is officially sitting up unassisted and on his own!  He leans over a little after sitting up for a few minutes, but he has really good balance and can correct himself if he starts to lean one way!  He is growing up so fast!!!

Baby Benjamin: 19 Weeks!

Weight: Yesterday he weighted in at 16 lbs 8 oz... so lost an ounce this last week.
Health: Our little man had a rash yesterday so we took him to the Dr. and they said it is a virus.  Nothing we could do just let it run its course and keep an eye on him and his temperature.  No temperature, but he just isn't himself.  Hoping he kicks this virus soon and is back to his normal self.
Sleep: Sunday night was the worst night yet... He just couldn't get comfortable in his bed so he ended up sleeping in his momaroo!  But thankfully he slept 11 hours last night and we are hopeful he is feeling better and will go back to his good sleeping routine!
Social: This week my hubby's mom is in town taking care of Ben and they are having a great time playing and having fun!

Diet: Momma's Milk!
Clothes: 3-6 months and size 3 diapers and size 3 night time diapers.
Baby Gear Loves: Love the little taggie toys  He loves the stand up mirror Tag n' Smile Plushie Mirror!
Crying: Since he hasn't been feeling well the last few days he has been a little fussy... I think he is feeling a little better each day!
LOVES: Ben loves to smile!!
Postpartum:  Saturday night hubs and I attended the Chairmans Ball and enjoyed getting all dressed up for an evening out!  Also, I'm still pumping and started eating "Lactation Cookies" a friend of mine made (and is selling) in hopes to drop a pumping but keep my supply the same... not sure if it will work, but I'm going to try.  If you are nursing/pumping and are interested in the cookies let me know and I'll pass on the information to you.  I had my first cookie yesterday so I'll keep you all posted on how it has effected my supply.
Milestones:  First sickness and rash this week... very sad to see him not feeling well.

Baby Benjamin: 18 Weeks!

Weight: Yesterday he weighted in at 16# 9.5 oz!

Health: At his 4 month dr. appointment yesterday Ben received a great report of health!  Growing big and strong!  80% for weight and 85% for height... 26 inches long!
Sleep: Still doing really well!  Last week he started this new thing... he would wake up around 7ish then talk and babble for 10 min or so... then go back to sleep till 7:45-8ish!  We loved watching him in the monitor and listening to his sweet talking sounds!  He did have one bad night last week when our air conditioner decided to go out on us... so we stayed at my sisters for the night... but now he is back to his good sleeping and we are very happy!  And last night he slept 12 hours... I had to wake him up so we wouldn't be late.  I hate waking him up!  He is so peaceful when he is sleeping!
Social: Ben is still very generous with his smiles and laughs, but has started to fuss some when he is held by unfamiliar people... he does warm up to them, but it takes a little time.
Diet: Proudly serving Momma's Milk!
Clothes: 3-6 months and size 2 diapers and size 3 night time diapers.
Baby Gear Loves: Anything he can grab and put in his mouth... including blankets!
Crying: He typically only cries when he is tired and or hungry.  But now has started to fuss when new people hold him... not sure if he is experiencing separation anxiety already... sure hope not.
LOVES: Ben loves to laugh!  And we LOVE to hear it!
Postpartum:  I have to brag a little bit... I'm officially under my pre prego weight!!!  I wasn't sure if I would ever get there, but I'm super excited I am!  I have also noticed I am starting to lose some hair... not fun, but I knew it was coming!
Milestones:  Ben continues to roll over and grab and play with his toys!  He also loves to put everything in his mouth!  I know I have been saying this for a while now... but I think teeth are in our near future!

Happy 4 Months Benjamin!

Benjamin,
You are four months old today!  I'm not sure where the time has gone this last month, but I do know it has gone by way too quickly!  You are the sweetest most precious baby boy with the biggest personality for a four month old!  You smile, giggle, coo, babble and give big belly laughs very generously and love to sing along with your music.  You have the happiest little personality and we love you so much!
A little about you:
We won't know your exact stats till Monday, at your four month check up, but we think you are around 16 pounds and probably 26 inches.  You still take 6 bottles a day... two - 7 oz. bottles, three - 6 oz. bottles and a 2.5 oz. bottle for your dream feed.  You are still in 3-6 month clothes and size 2 diapers, but will be moving up to size 3 nighttime diapers very soon!
As for your health, you are continuing to growing big and strong!  You love to stand up and have started marching in place... it is the cutest thing ever!!!   We often talk about what sports or activities you will be interested in and we think that with your fancy footwork you might just want to follow in your daddy's footsteps and be a soccer star!!  We will support you whatever you choose and wherever your interest take you!
When it comes to sleep you are still doing well!  Since momma has gone back to work you have made the transition very well and settled into a new routine.  Our typical day goes a little like this... Wake up around 7:30/8ish, bottle, change and out the door to Aunt Frannies, then momma goes to work.  You then play and then take a nap around 9:45, then bottle at 11, then playtime, then another nap at 1, and another bottle 2, then I come and pick up you and we go home and play then you take another nap from 3-5 then have another bottle, play, take a short nap ~7ish then bath, books, bottle and in bed by 8:30-8:45.  Then daddy give you a 2.5 oz. bottle for your "dream feed' at 10:30... and then we wake up the next day and do it all again!  The last few mornings you have woken up around 7 and just talk away... then fall back asleep till 7:45-8ish!  We love to watch you on the monitor just cooing away... the sweetest sound in the morning!   Here is one video from a few days ago!
As for your play time you love your Baby Einstein Activity Center/exersaucer!  You love to push the buttons to make the music play and explore all the other toys too!  You also love sitting up with the support of a pillow at your activity mat.  You love to grab the toys and put them in your mouth!  Since you found your feet last month you have also started making diaper changes a bit more challenging... but that is ok!  We know you love your feet and love to pull them up to your face!  We also think you are super close to rolling over from your back to your tummy... you have only done it on your own once or twice, but you have started rocking and really arching your back so we think you will master this trick in the next few weeks!
Other milestones and firsts this month included a day with nana and pop pop while momma and daddy enjoyed a date day!  You had a little tummy ache that day, but for the most part had a good day.  Also, this month I think we have finally settled into a new routine with momma back to work and you going to Aunt Frannie's during the day.  You love playing with her and Jack and we are very blessed to have them taking care of you.
Benjamin, you are the sweetest most affectionate baby boy and this last month has just been amazing.  Seeing you grow, learn new things and hearing you make new sounds is the best thing in the world!  You have blessed our lives so much more than words can describe!  The joy you bring to this world is unmeasurable and we just love you with everything we are!

Happy 4 Months baby boy!!  We love you to the moon and back, Momma and Daddy!

Baby Benjamin: 17 Week

Weight: Thinking around 16 pounds or so.
Health: A little stuffy nose... but other than that great!
Sleep: Doing well, but has started waking up around 5-6ish... but goes back to sleep once we give him a pacifier.
Social: He loves to talk and babble!  I think he will be a little chatter box when he gets older!
Diet: Serving Momma's milk!

Clothes: 3-6 months and size 2 diapers!  I finally had a chance this weekend to pack away his 0-3 month clothes and started washing his 6-9 month clothes!  Time is going by way to fast!
Baby Gear Loves: We haven't used this one yet, but I know we are going to love it!  It is a portable/fold-up chair for baby!  Perfect for our upcoming trips this fall!!
Crying: This last weekend hubs and enjoyed a "date day" and left Ben with my parents... when we left he was very unhappy... not sure if it was because he was in a unfamiliar place or something else... but it broke our hearts.  He did well for the most party but they said he was fussy too. Not sure what it was...

LOVES:  To be outside!  Since we live in Texas and we are still in the middle of summer... we don't hang outside too much and if we do we don't stay out for that long.. but when we are outside he LOVES it!
Postpartum:  Like I mentioned above... Hubs and I enjoyed a date day last weekend... the first time we have left Ben for 9+ hours!  We had a great time hanging out with some dear friends and enjoyed the musical Wicked!  It was amazing!!! A MUST see!  And yes... the friendly pump joined us for the trip!  I pumped 3 times while we were gone... on the way down... after the show on the way to dinner... then on the way home... adventures of pumping!
Milestones:  Ben is constantly holding his feet.. making diaper changes much more challenging these days... he also loves to sit up with the help of a pillow or boppy!  I think he will be sitting up on his own soon!!!
