Dan and Jennifer are ENGAGED!!!

We couldn't be more excited for them and I can personally say I am really looking forward to having a "brother" in the family.

The big day was Saturday and in perfect Overbeck style we enjoyed the evening celebrating with great friends and family.

Jay and I love you both and look forward to sharing the adventure of engagement and married life together!

Here are a few photos. ENJOY!!!

Fun times...

In other news I wanted to share a fun photo from The Taste of The Town this last Thursday. Dana and Ryan joined us and we had a blast! If you didn't recognize him, Jay is the one in the Crawfish costume.

New York City Engagement Photos

Could life get any better... I think not...

Celebrating the Christmas Holiday in New York City...
Getting engaged to the most wonderful man in the world...
Having our engagement photos taken in the city where it all happened...

Here are some of our favorites, but check out Maggie Harkov Photography for a full look.

Enjoy!

Our Engagement Story

As our Christmas gift to each other Jay and I decided to take a trip to New York City. We both love The City and wanted to enjoy the Christmas holiday in a City full of romance and holiday spirit.

We arrived in NYC on Thursday afternoon and started exploring right away. We saw Rockefeller Center, Time Square, Central Park, and even ventured to the Top of The Rock and saw the entire city at night. It was beautiful. Friday morning Jay had a work phone conference so we went to the MET so we could both walk around inside out of the cold; on our walk there Jay spotted the perfect spot in Central Park that he later took me back to and popped the big question It was mostly a blur of excitement that we will remember forever.

We spent the rest of the day on cloud nine and shopped on 5th Avenue. Then Saturday afternoon Jay surprised me with engagement photos in Central Park… it was so special to capture our trip and engagement in The City and it even snowed! It was priceless!

That evening we found out that due to the snow storm our flight Sunday morning had been cancelled and so we decided to take advantage of the extra time in NYC and so we walked the Brooklyn Bridge, shopped in SoHo, and explored Greenwich Village. We enjoyed our extra time in New York City and returned to the real world on Tuesday and spend the Christmas holiday with our family and friends.

It was the most perfect Christmas gift I could ever get.

On Our Way!

We are on our way to the alter and things are moving along ahead of schedule!! We are enjoying all the fun planning and getting more and more excited everyday.

We have some of the BIG things checked off the list… Church, Reception, band, flowers, invitations… most of the things that are left are the little details. We have plenty of time to obsess over them, but we are relieved to have the BIG stuff is booked.

Jay Bryan and I are so grateful for this time in our lives and look forward to sharing the excitement of our engagement and life to come with all of you. We are blessed and look forward to the next stage and can’t wait to see what God has in store for us!!!
