Nursery Reveal!!!

So here it is my friends!!! Benjamin's nursery, finally... I had a few sneak peaks along the ways, but I couldn't leave you hanging any longer.

We just love the way it has been transformed from our an extra guest room/office to a sweet abode for our little man.

Furniture – Crib, changing table and dresser chest are all from Baby's First Furniture, Liberty Collection

Bedding – Restoration Hardware Baby: European Flax Stripe Crib Collection

Bookshelves – Handiwork of my talented brother in law!!

Baskets in the changing table – Restoration Hardware Baby, Seagrass Shelf Basket, ash, with textured cotton seagrass shelf basket liner

White frames with blue mats – Aarons Brothers – We will change out the photos with our maternity photos then newborn, and so on as Ben grows up!

Name on the Wall - We ordered his name online from Craft Cuts! They have various options for wood letters, wall letters, monograms, etc... and we decided on this one!

Diaper/changing caddie on changing table - More handiwork from my brother-in-law. We couldn't find anything to fit the space exactly like we needed so he made a custom one that is just perfect!!

Now the waiting begins!!! We will enjoy the last 3 1/2 weeks before Benjamin's arrival but are certainly ready for meet our little boy!!!

Nursery Update!

We have been busy getting Benjamin's room ready for his arrival, but still have a hand full of things to do. It is all coming together just like I had dreamed! Here is a quick update on his nursery!

Furniture – Crib, changing table and dresser chest are all from Baby's First Furniture, Liberty Collection

And for those wondering how our 4D second ultrasound appointment went yesterday... Benjamin is still in the same position, Breech and facing my spine! So we will try again in a few weeks. Also, our prayers is that he will start moving head down. Our Dr. is not worries since there is plenty of time for him to move, but we ask that you join us in praying that he moves head down sooner rather than later!

We did get a sweet photo of his shoulder, arm and cute chubby little fingers!!

Christmas Party 2012!

Yesterday we hosted our Annual Christmas Party/Ornament Exchange and everything was wonderful! Lots of friends, food, family and fun! I didn't do the best job of taking photos, but here are a few!

This one we took after everyone left, via timer since we hadn't taken one all night... not the best but it will do!

Nursery Inspiration and preview!

The next few months will be filled with many things baby! And I can't wait! First on the list is the Nursery! There is not a theme, but my main vision is soft, classic and soothing. Home Improvements!!!

With our little man on the way it was time to do some home improvement projects around the house. So a month or so ago my wonderful hubby and brother in-law transformed our laundry room into a wonderland! So much storage it makes me giddy! It was a short weekend project and I'm so thankful for what they did! More storage and more organization!!

Then last week we had a wall unit and desk built in the "children's retreat", aka sitting room, and we are super pleased! If you need any wood work or a painter let me know! I will pass on our contractors information!

Living Room Furniture

Since I said I would do a special post just for our new furniture here it is... we have definitely enjoyed every second on our new sofa and leather chair/ottoman!

Here is the back story... in July we decided that we would use the remainder of our Pottery Barn credit and registry completion discount to purchase the sofa of our dreams (that is a little exaggerated but somewhat true) and finally pulled the trigger. We did know when we ordered the sectional sofa that it would be 8-10 weeks before it was delivered but it ended up being 12+ weeks. So we both learned a lot about patience during this process. Any who, the sofa was finally delivered along with the end tables, and coffee tables we also ordered and with a handful of trips to Pottery Barn our living room is finished! (The reason for the trips to PB was they delivered our coffee table with a huge gash in the box, which meant the table had a HUGE scratch on it! Why USP would you deliver a box like that?) But we are 100% satisfied and enjoying our new furniture!

House updates

Over Labor Day weekend we added two new toys to our house; lights in our kitchen dining area and our formal dining room! We have waited for both of these chandelier for over a month... I have been exercising patience and now they are installed and we LOVE them!
