It started on Friday, with a surprise from Aunt Frannie and Jack... and Ben's first birthday surprise! A new play house for the backyard! He was so surprised and super excited for daddy and Jack to put it together... and he patiently waited and assisted as they worked all day! But sadly Friday afternoon, he got a terrible headache and ended up getting sick... so we had to cancel his birthday party and reschedule it for another day.
Thankfully when he woke up Saturday he was feeling much better, but we still laid low and took it easy around the house. We played outside, ate popsicles, and had a fun family filled day at home.
And today we enjoyed a great lunch at the club, playtime outside while we watched The Masters, grilled out, and birthday fun with Nana, Poppy, Aunt Jennifer and Olivia. Sadly William had to sit this one out, but we hope he is feeling better soon so he can come play with all the new toys!
It was a wonderful weekend filled with so much love, fun and birthday surprises! We love you Benjamin and with you the very best year yet!!!
